Olivia Freeborough

About Me:

Hi, my name is Olivia and I work as a trainee counselling psychologist delivering person centred therapy.

I started my career working in observational documentary film-making but retrained in psychology in 2017, after some physical and mental health struggles led me to re-evaluate what was important to me in life.

What to Expect:

I have worked as a psychological well-being practitioner for four years delivering CBT and acceptance commitment therapy, both privately and within the NHS, and I am now studying for my doctorate in counselling psychology.

My Approach:

I am a gentle and warm person and will strive to help you feel comfortable in the sessions. I understand that starting therapy can be a big step to take and that it can take time to find a therapist you feel happy working with.

Area of Focus:

I work in the person-centred model which means that I take a warm, accepting, non-directive approach where each session you can talk about anything that has been going on for you.  My aim is to provide you with a safe space to explore your emotions and experiences in order to help you gain a greater understanding of yourself.

Lets Connect:

If you are interested in working together, please reach out. Most of my availability is during the mornings but we can discuss alternatives if needed.
