Amelia Shelton

Hi, I’m Amelia. I’m a trainee psychotherapist at the UKCP-accredited Ellesmere Centre in Hull, but I am based near Leeds. My journey to working within mental health began many years ago with personal experience and a drive to support others. Before my training, I have spent over six years working in the charity sector with people going through all kinds of challenges - from trauma and grief, to identity shifts, anxiety, and relationship struggles.

I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on different theories and tools depending on what feels most useful for you. My core training is in Transactional Analysis, and I also bring in relational and trauma-informed ideas to support our work. I see you as the expert on your experience, and I’m here to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.
