Annia Naik
Counsellor
Hi, I’m Annia. I am a trainee counsellor currently studying at the University of Salford and a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working within their ethical framework. Alongside my training, I work as a primary school teacher, and my experience in education has shaped my understanding of relationships and the lasting impact of early experiences. I bring a trauma and attachment-informed perspective to my work. As a British Indian woman, I am aware of the complexities of navigating multiple cultural identities and how this can shape how we see ourselves and relate to others. I aim to offer a supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
I am training in the person-centred approach, which means I aim to meet you with empathy, unconditional positive regard and authenticity. I see counselling as a trusting relationship. My role is not to direct or advise but to walk alongside you as you explore your inner world and discover what feels right for you.
