Hi I’m Ed. I am completing my final year of a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My training is integrative, client centred and humanistic, but I look to incorporate different approaches, including existential and psychodynamic, to suit your needs.
I have previously worked in law, teaching and public affairs consulting. However when I worked as Support Line Volunteer for the National Association of People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC), I realised my vocation was to become a therapist to help those who have suffered abuse or trauma of any kind, including grief and loss. I offer a relaxed, calm and gentle environment with a foundation in empathetic listening.
For me, counselling is about establishing a relationship of trust and collaboration with you the client, focusing on exploring your needs, offering emotional support to help you process whatever you bring to our time together.
Ultimately I believe that you are the expert when it comes to your life and experiences, my role is to accompany and support you in your healing journey.
