Lois Adamus

Counsellor

About Me:

Hello, my name is Lois and I am a counsellor in training. I am in the final year of my diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am also a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

What to Expect:

You can expect a safe and open space, where you can feel listened to without judgement or an agenda. You are the expert in you and my role is to work alongside you as your equal, and to build a therapeutic relationship where you are able to explore your reasons for coming to therapy and work towards what you hope to achieve.

My Approach:

I am a humanistic / person-centred counsellor, which essentially means that you (the Person) are at the centre of the work. I support you to support yourself to develop and grow as your authentic self. I am non-directive, meaning I work with you at your pace and in a way that works best for you.

Area of Focus:

I have knowledge and experience in a variety of areas, including: anxiety; stress; eating disorders; sexual abuse; trauma; self-esteem problems; and personal growth. I understand how hard it can be to take the first step, but also how powerful, and I am here to support you every step of the way.

Lets Connect:

I offer a warm and empathetic environment from which we can explore and travel your journey together.
I look forward to working with you soon.
