Erin Crawford
Counsellor
Hi, I’m Erin; I’m a trainee Integrative counsellor with Inside Talk. I’ve grown up and lived in a number of different countries and moved to London from Australia in 2014. As a yoga teacher and with a past career in human rights law and community development research, I’m always inspired by the diverse ways we cope, relate to ourselves, gain understanding, and reconnect to meaning in our lives – whether alone or in community, and whether through talking, movement, spirituality or creativity.
My style is warm, non-judgemental, spacious and intuitive. I believe that each person ultimately knows their own experience better than anyone else, and therapy can help clear obstructions to your view – and empower you to find direction or the resources to meet whatever it is you’re facing. I am trained integratively, so I am guided by and can draw upon a number of different therapeutic frameworks, as well as my background in mindfulness, depending on what works best for you. My approach is guided by the relational principle that a sense of trust – of feeling seen, heard and respected – are key to creating a space where you can reflect openly and curiously. As a student member of the BACP I adhere to and am guided by their ethical framework.
