Hello, I’m Jake and I’m an integrative humanistic counsellor in my final year of training at CPPD on its Advanced Diploma in Integrative Humanistic Counselling course.
I believe that therapy is a powerful way to heal the hurt, pain and trauma from your life and helping you cope with what’s going on in your life, in the here and now.
Prior to my studies and my current placements, I was a volunteer counsellor for the LGBTQ+ helpline, Switchboard for over 5 years.
Through my practice, I work in a collaborative way with those who are living with a range of challenges and issues including childhood traumas, bullying, anxiety, depression, sexuality, gender dysphoria, trust and relationship issues with careful and gentle exploration to find a pace and counselling style that best works for you.
As a student member of the BACP I adhere to its ethical framework, engage in regular supervision and take part in numerous continuous personal development studies (CPD).
