About Lyrit

Hi, my name is Lyrit, and I am a trainee counsellor working towards my professional qualification at the Minster Centre in London. With a background in the arts—particularly music—I’ve had the privilege of travelling internationally to perform, teach, and lead workshops. These experiences have shaped my therapeutic approach, making it creative, adaptable, and responsive to each individual. Originally from Canada, I have lived in the UK for 18 years, so I understand the challenges of adapting to a new place and culture. I am a student member of the BACP and work in accordance with their code of ethics.

I have an integrative approach, drawing on different modalities to bring flexibility and openness to my practice. My aim is to provide a warm, empathetic, and safe space where I can be both supportive and, when helpful, gently challenging as we explore different aspects of the self. I see myself as attuned and relational, while also bringing an appropriate sense of humour.
