About Malcolm

Hello! I’m Malcolm, I am a trainee counsellor and have been studying for 4 years. I strongly believe that people have the capacity to make choices and change their lives and having access to counselling can support that change. I am neurodivergent and have lived experience of dyslexia and dyspraxia and work to support people who struggle to be heard. For the last 20 years, I have been working to support people who are facing challenging circumstances.

I am a humanistic, integrative therapist. I am sensitive to individual needs and work in a safe, non-judgemental way and look for the most suitable therapeutic outcomes. I most commonly use Person-centred and Gestalt techniques. Person-centred – to me this means you are leading the way. I am travelling alongside you, listening to what you think and feel and seeing the world through your eyes. Gestalt – to me this supports creative approaches to addressing difficulties and increases self-reflection and awareness. I endeavour to understand how you perceive the world and what it means to you. I am registered with the NCPS and am guided by their values and ethics to ensure that your wellbeing and safety is at the core of my work.
