I’m Meera, a trainee psychotherapist with a warm and collaborative approach. My journey to psychotherapy wasn’t linear. My background in Public Relations honed my communication skills, while Life Coaching and Psychotherapy helped me empower individuals. Now I combine these experiences with a pluralistic approach to counselling, aligning with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) standards. This means we’ll work together to find the therapeutic techniques that best suit your needs.
Feeling stuck? Ready to make a positive change? Therapy can be a powerful tool for growth and positive change but it is important to find the right approach for you. It often involves discussing your feelings, experiences and thought patterns. This will give you a chance to explore difficult emotions and gain new perspectives. Our sessions will be a collaborative space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. We will discuss your background, what brings you to therapy and set goals and work at your pace and I will be there to support you through it.
I offer a client-centred therapy experience. We will delve deeper into your concerns and work together to overcome roadblocks and move forward. I’ll listen actively and ask open-ended questions to help you gain clarity and insight. I draw from various therapeutic techniques and will tailor our sessions to address your needs, working as a team.
There is no one size-fits-all solution. I adapt my approach based on your specific needs and preferences. I bring a unique perspective to our sessions, fostering a safe space for open communication regardless of background and without judgment.
I will work with you to understand your experience and tailor the session to suit your needs. This could be life challenges and relationship issues (stress, anxiety, grief and loss, anger, family/relationship conflict and coping with major life challenges (job loss divorce) or personal growth and development (building self-confidence, personal values, identity exploration.)
This is just a start. Sometimes, you won’t know the specifics as to why you came but together, we can embark on that journey. It is not a pre-determined outcome set by me.
