About Paul

Hello, my name is Paul and I am an Executive and Therapeutic Coach currently training in psychotherapy (MA / Level 7) at Roehampton University. Alongside my academic training, I bring over ten years of experience working therapeutically with senior executives, business owners, current and former athletes, military personnel and blue light responders. I am also a former international athlete, and this background has shaped my understanding of performance pressure, identity, discipline, resilience and the psychological impact of high-expectation environments. Over the years, I have supported individuals presenting with both everyday life challenges and profession-specific difficulties, including anxiety, stress, addiction, PTSD and issues related to transition, purpose and identity. My work is grounded in extensive coaching practice, supervised clinical training and a strong belief that meaningful change occurs when people feel deeply understood rather than judged.

I work from an integrative perspective, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic and existential theories, which form the core of my psychotherapy training at Roehampton. This approach allows space to explore early experiences, relational patterns, meaning-making and present-day challenges, while remaining grounded in the here and now. Alongside this, my background in executive and therapeutic coaching informs a practical, reflective style that supports awareness, emotional regulation and sustainable change. I also hold a personal interest in the role of spirituality in transformation — not as a belief system to impose, but as a way of exploring meaning, connection, values and purpose when it feels relevant to the individual.
