Peter Fawcett

Counsellor

About Me:

Hi, I’m, Peter and I work with adults providing a safe space with compassion and understanding to help overcome areas where you may be stuck and manage through personal issues you may face.

What to Expect:

Specifically, through a supportive and non-judgemental approach, I can help on the challenges that life sometimes brings. This may be seeking to achieve a better work life balance, handling the pressures of raising a family, including managing young, teenage or adult children, or looking after elderly family relatives. I also help in areas such as career changes, job loss and transitions to retirement, as well as handling the complex issues that may arise following bereavement and loss, or from recovering from past traumas. I also work with people with differences, whether different cultures, those who may identify as LGBTQ+, or those with autism or ADHD, or disabilities.

My Approach:

My approach is both humanistic, and integrative, where I use a number of different techniques brought together within a person centric and sensitive approach, grounded on the belief that each person has the inherent capacity for growth and self-actualisation.

Area of Focus:

I am currently studying on the Advanced Diploma in Humanist Integrative Counselling accredited by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). As BACP student member I work within their ethical framework. I can leverage my transferable skills gained earlier in helping people in the corporate world working as executive coach during an extensive career in management counselling. I can also leverage my experience working in the local community, and from my own personal journey.

Lets Connect:

If you are experiencing an issue that causes you concern, I am committed to helping you manage and resolve the issues that have brought you to counselling, and to help you achieve personal growth and resilience.
