Sophie Paget

Hi, I’m Sophie. I’m an integrative trainee counsellor, working towards my NCPS-accredited Advanced Diploma in Counselling, at Heartwood Counselling and Psychotherapy in London. My passion for psychology, curiosity in people and personal experience with mental health challenges have shaped my path into counselling. My journey began when I looked at my own life and started to live within my values of growth, wellbeing and continual learning. As a BACP member, I adhere to its ethical framework, attending regular supervision and engage in continuous personal and professional development.

As an integrative counsellor, I believe in the uniqueness of each client and tailor my therapy accordingly. I draw on a range of modalities, including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, existentialism, and attachment theory. I also enjoy working creatively, with imagery and colour which can allow for a more engaging and dynamic therapeutic experience. My practice is grounded in the Person-centred approach, which believes you are the expert of your own life, and have the inner strength to find the answers within you. I am curious to get to know all the parts of you that make you, you. I take a holistic view, valuing the connection between mind, body, and emotions, and can offer grounding or mindfulness techniques if that’s something you’re open to exploring.
