Grace Thurgood

Counsellor

About Me:

I am in my final year of training as an Integrative Psychotherapist on a Level 5 postgraduate Diploma.  ‘Integrative’ means I draw on different modalities of therapy to suit the individual needs of each client.

I am a student member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework.

What to Expect:

I have a professional background in performing arts, and working in the charity sector as a creative-arts facilitator supporting disadvantaged groups. I work part-time as a support worker in public services, which I have done in various capacities for several years.

My Approach:

I have a warm, friendly, down-to-earth, personality. I am passionate about equality and have knowledge and experience working with neuro-diverse people and those with learning difficulties.

Area of Focus:

A common concern when people come to therapy is that they won’t know what to say or how to express themselves. Or maybe you feel you have so much to bring, it feels overwhelming, and you won’t know where to start? I will support you to finds the words or to focus on how to begin and to continue.

Lets Connect:

Whatever is bringing you to therapy, we will work in creative collaboration, to bring you a greater sense of well-being and fulfilment.

I believe that trust is at the heart of the therapeutic relationship, and this is something that is earned not expected. By working with your personal preferences, I hope to earn your trust and create the right environment for your healing journey.
