I am an integrative psychotherapist in training, which means I am learning a range of theories about the human condition so that when we meet, I have a wide variety of ideas to best work with you, and your unique way of being. I strongly believe that no two people are the same, and that each person deserves to be listened to from their individual perspective; from their history to the future, to help make sense of their lives in the present.
In my previous career, I worked with young people helping them to make crucial decisions about their future. My passion for seeing people flourish led me to psychotherapy.
It is a bold step to even begin to reach out for help. By sharing our problems and being heard, validated and accepted, we can move forward. My role will not be to advise, assume, or know better – it is to listen and hear you. We will go at your pace, working together as your story unfolds. My intention is to create a gentle environment in which you can feel comfortable.
My approach is integrative, drawing on theories involving the influence of your childhood, your sense of purpose, and learning to listen to your gut instinct. In the therapy room, I will not be holding these theories in mind, I will be listening to you, and reflecting in the space in between.
