Hello, I’m Sam, a trainee integrative psychotherapist. I’m warm, empathetic, and driven by a desire to help people. My professional background is in the creative arts and the charity sector.
There are many reasons people come to therapy. They may feel stuck; they may be in the middle of a crisis; they may find themselves repeating patterns that feel unhelpful or debilitating; they may simply feel awful. Whatever your reason is, it’s my firm belief that talking therapy can be transformative. It can help us to heal old wounds, find healthier ways of relating to ourselves and other people, and can ultimately bring us to a place where we are thriving rather than just surviving.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space, in which it feels okay to explore any subject – even the ones which feel the most painful or difficult to engage with.
I work integratively, which means that I’m trained in a number of therapeutic approaches – including psychodynamic, existential, person-centred and body-focused – and will draw on one or a combination of these according to what I think will serve you best.
My areas of focus are wide-ranging. They include: depression; anxiety; trauma; abuse; low self-esteem; bereavement; suicidality; feelings of hopelessness or meaninglessness. Whatever challenge you are facing, I am here to support you.
