Hi, I’m Raff. I am currently working towards my professional qualification in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at The Minster Centre. Before beginning my professional training as a therapist, the majority of my career has been in the charity sector, working in domestic violence support services and supporting people affected by addiction and homelessness. I am a student member of the BACP and abide by their ethical framework.
Reaching out to a therapist for the first time can be daunting, but please know that whatever you bring to therapy, I will be here to meet you with empathy, and without judgment. Therapy can bring us into greater awareness of ourselves, and I hope to facilitate an environment that encourages reflection and a sense of acceptance and compassion for yourself, wherever you are currently at.
As an integrative counsellor I draw on a variety of approaches to support you therapeutically, such as humanistic, existential, psychodynamic and the transpersonal. The integrative approach acknowledges and celebrates your uniqueness, and together we will work to find the right approach for you.
Most importantly we will create a supportive, holding environment in which you feel safe to express yourself freely.
Whatever you want to bring to therapy, there is space for it here. I work with a wide range of topics, including:
Anxiety
Depression
Stress
Low self-esteem
Addiction and recovery
Relationship difficulties
Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity (GSRD)
LGBTQ+
Gender Identity
Neurodiversity
Attachment
If you feel like I’d be the right fit for you, I would love to hear from you. I see clients in person in the Queens Park area, I also have some availability for online sessions.
